Week One - Orientation/Introduction to the Digestive System

In addition to the vocabulary noted in the book, I have added two additional documents which you will benefit from. The first document contains medical terms that describe medical conditions. They are used on a routine basis in the clinic. They are specific to the digestive or gastrointestinal tract {GI tract} (inflammation).

The second document contains additional terminology that we will discuss in class. They are terms that you should be familiar with because they are used when speaking about the process of digestion, the locations of organs, and various conditions of the digestive tract.

Additional Helpful Terminology -  INFLAMMATION.docx
